New ETIRA report suggests that new build cartridges are NOT safe
As a the title suggests, a recent report from ETIRA has revealed that recent testing of new build cartridges sourced in Europe have failed multiple LGA emissions tests.
ETIRA explained that the majority of the cartridges that were tested and failed, had failed due to multiple reasons including excessive levels of cobalt, benzene, naphthalene and Bis(2-methoxyethyl) ether. All of which can cause long term harmful effects for aquatic life, allergic skin reactions and allergy or asthma symptoms or breathing difficulties if inhaled.
Javier Martinez, President of ETIRA explained that the tests show why it is so dangerous to buy new-build non-OEM cartridges as these products contain dirty toners and can affect the health of their customers and all those who come into contact with the products.
After all, further health concerns are the last thing we need right now amid the dangers of the coronavirus pandemic.
It's also important to remember that these products cannot be successfully remanufactured, and go completely against our goal for a circular economy. These Products made of completely new plastic which cannot be reused are a danger to the planet, and also your own health as ETIRA have identified.
We encourage all of our Partners to make the switch to remanufactured toners if they haven't already. Remaufactured ECS toners provide quality, performance, reliability, consistency and yield all equivalent to OEM cartridges.
